The Wings Appeal

This September is the 85th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain and all members of the Albatross Club are encouraged to get themselves sponsored to participate in this community event on 21 September in support of the Royal Air Forces Association. It is open to everyone of all abilities to walk any distance and raise as much as you can for the RAF Wings Appeal. Your £5 Registration Packs are available behind the bar at the Club. Book now and I look forward to seeing many of you there on the day.
The Wings Appeal was started to raise funds for the Welfare of all members of the RAF, both past and present, and their families.

Membership of the RAFA is not necessary and all branches have a Welfare Officer to dispense care when and where it is needed. This includes grants normally funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund and residential care provided in one of the Association's homes.

For more information about the appeal and details of how you can get involved, please go to : http://www.rafa.org.uk/wingsappeal.asp

The Bexhill branch have always given excellent support to the Wings Appeal and over more than 50 years have raised over £ 555,000 for the Wings Appeal.

New volunteers always welcome to help to collect please contact the Club.

Our Welfare Officer is Clive Hammond
